We’ve all heard the news about the devastation of fire engulfing Grenfell Tower in West London.
It’s incredible how at a time of crisis, our United Kingdom has pulled together to help the Grenfell residents in their time of need. Online, people took to Twitter and other social media platforms to show their support and outreach love. Some tagging #Grenfelltower to offer a safe place to sleep for a few nights.
On the grounds, people showed tremendous support by donating food, clothing, money and essentials and being available to nurse, comfort and lend a helping hand. May our United Spirit continue to shine through – We are One Love.
In our thoughts, we shall remember our world class emergency services. With much respect and praise to the firefighters, ambulances and police who promptly attended the incident and risked their lives to save others. We recognise the efforts of the fire fighters fighting flames and searching for residents. The ambulances who took care of those harmed and drove them to hospital. To the police who arrived shortly after the call. They are an honour for their bravery and service of safety to our British public.
In remembrance of the victims, Simon Cowell’s label released a charity single called Bridge Over Troubled Water. The 3.53minute heart-felt track features artists Stormzy, Rita Ora, Robby Williams, Liam Payne, James Blunt and Emeli Sande. A video was released to accompany the single, which show footage of the aftermath of the fire in North Kensington.
The video includes cut scenes of artists in the studio with footage from the event.
